Rope all of these together and you get, PIONEER PEPPER & THE SUNSET PIONEERS a cowboy singing group that takes you back into the days of the old west and keeps the spirit, music, and fun of the Old West alive. An ex-police officer from Illinois, Pioneer Pepper packed up his family and in 1995 moved to Arizona to be closer to the history of the unique American era of the cowboy and the old west.
The Sunset Pioneers are international entertainers and just returned from their Austria Tour. They performed for the “Little House on the Prairie” TV show reunion at the Western Film Festival and filmed with the BBC-TV for the TV series “Only in America”. Oh, but the notches on their gun belts don’t stop there! The Sunset Pioneers have the honor to be named, Fender Artists, a title held by about 140 others in the entire world, they are the official town balladeers of the fastest growing city in the USA, Gilbert Arizona, and were named Top Personalities for 2005 by the Arizona Republic newspaper!
Now partners, The Sunset Pioneers don’t play any of the top 40 country and western music that you hear on the radio. You’ll experience the era of Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Rex Allen, and The Sons of the Pioneers. Timeless songs like Tumbling Tumble Weeds, Back in the Saddle, Cool Water, and Riding Down the Canyon.
